kind of information do we collect?

information we collect is limited to the following:

Much of the information comes directly from you when you
fill out a loan or account application.

come from consumer reports, transactions via our online services,
public records, and marketing and demographic research information
such as verification of employment.

Employees
of Allstate Mortgage & Investments and any affiliated companies
have restricted access to information about you. The information
provided is only accessible in conjunction with their need to know
this information as part of their job responsibilities.
Employees are educated about the importance of confidentiality and
customer privacy through standard operating procedures, special
training programs and our Code of Conduct.
Do
you share information with affiliated companies?
In
the course of our business, we may find it necessary to share some
or all of the information described above among our affiliates.
This gives us a more complete knowledge of your total relationship
with us and helps us to provide you with important benefits.
Some of the benefits to you may include:

Prevention of unauthorized transactions or fraud.
• Offers for products and services specifically suited to
your individual situation. For example, if you have a mortgage loan
with our mortgage lender, we may be able to offer you a home equity
line of credit with potential tax benefits through our bank affiliates
based on your mortgage loan application and related credit report.
• Increased convenience, making it faster and easier for you
to do business with us. For example, some or all of the application
information you provide to obtain a loan from one of our lending
affiliates can be used to complete an application for brokerage
services through our brokerage affiliate, without the need to provide
the same information twice.
• Enhanced customer service and responsiveness.

We
do not sell customer information or customer lists to other companies
in order for them to market their products and services. However,
we may share some or all of the information we collect with companies
that perform services on our behalf, companies that perform marketing
services on our behalf, or financial institutions with which we
have joint marketing agreements. Examples of these types of companies
are vendors who prepare account statements; marketing companies
who provide direct mail services; and other financial institutions
such as insurance companies and credit card companies with which
we have a joint marketing agreement. We may also share some or all
of the information we collect as authorized or required under applicable
law.
How
can I be assured my information is kept private with third-party
companies?
All
of the companies that act on our behalf are contractually obligated
to keep the information we provide them confidential and to use
the information only for the purposes authorized.
